Administrative Assistant/Media Co-Ordinator:

Flora Manufacturing and Distributing Ltd. is currently seeking an energetic, self-motivated and goal oriented Administrative Assistant/Media Co-ordinator to work with our sales and marketing teams.
 
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years middle/senior administrative experience
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Proficient computer skills, Excel, Word and Outlook
• Proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a detail orientated  position
• Friendly and enthusiastic telephone manner. excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational abilities, experience in a PR setting an asset
• Ability to plan and organize multiple PR events with outside parties such
as radio stations, store events, industry shows, etc.

Help Desk - Technical Support:

 
Flora Manufacturing & Distributing Ltd. are currently seeking a Help Desk Technical Support person. Working in the Burnaby office, this position will support Flora users across North America.

The Help Desk support role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests. This position will require that the individual give in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level as well as support for remote users across North America.

JOB DISCRIPTION:
• Primary person answering calls to the Information Services Help Line. Pass requests along to second level support staff where required.
• Provides basic Local Area Network and Windows/PC problem solving for local users
• Diagnose and resolve problems associated with office productivity software, network connectivity, printing, email, and application programs
• Troubleshoots/resolves remote access problems for off site users
• Performs new hardware installation and upgrades; evaluates/recommends changes as necessary
• Builds, reconfigures, maintains, and repairs Windows/PC workstations (desktops and laptops)
• Performs movement, additions and changes to equipment (computer hardware, cables)
• Performs applications installation, re-installation, configuration and upgrades
• Change data tape back-up tapes and check corporate virus scanner on daily basis
• Tracks hardware inventory and communicates resource requirement (i.e. hardware consumable levels) to System Administrator

PERSONAL SKILLS:
• Field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
• Prioritize, schedule and resolve computer issues to completion.
• Self-motivated and self directed with the ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Knowledge of computer hardware, including workstations, monitors, notebooks/laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Experience supporting desktop operating systems and applications: Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2003, and virus spyware protection software.
• Good understanding of Active Directory and Windows networking, Network Printing, Terminal Services, RDP, VPN, Exchange 2000/2003, and all MS Office products.
• Certification in one or more of the following, or equivalent technical training.
